SF chocolate banana muffins

Sugar-free and still sweet!? YES HUNNY. No maple syrup/honey/agave in here. Just 2 very very ripe bananas that bring in enough sweetness...


INGREDIENTS:

2 large extra brown bananas

1 flax egg

1/2 cup nut butter of choice (I prefer almond)

1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

1-2 tsp cinnamon

2 tsp baking powder

2/3 cup almond flour

sugar-free chocolate chips (I like Lily's)

Optional: add walnut pieces on top


DIRECTIONS: ~Makes 10

Mash bananas and add in the rest of the ingredients. Grab your muffin tin and liners. Pour batter into liners 3/4 of the way. Bake for 5min at 425 and then bake at 350 for 18-20mins. Bananas will be moist and will need to rest to firm up post-bake, before eating one. If you can't wait and need a muffin ASAP, bake them for an additional 4mins.
